A new semester of Alpha is right around the corner. Alpha is best described as friendship based evangelism, as we come together once a week for 10 weeks to share a meal, watch a video teaching and then break into small groups. If you know someone you want to share the gospel with and don’t really know how to get the conversation going, invite them to our Introductory Kickoff Dinner on Wednesday September 12th at 6:00pm. They will learn about the Alpha program and the dinner is free! The Alpha course will then run each Wednesday through December 5th. Alpha is also tremendous for new believers as the basics of Christianity are presented and explored. We’re also looking for helpers and table leaders for the course. What is Alpha?
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore spirituality from a Christian perspective. Relaxed, non-threatening, low-key, and fun, Alpha is a place to ask anything—no question is considered too simple or too hostile.
What’s involved?
Over 10 thought-provoking weekly sessions, Alpha guests share meals, listen to a series of talks, and then have small group discussions. Each talk covers a fundamental question, such as “Who is Jesus?” “Why and How Do I Pray?” and “Does God Heal Today?”
Who runs the Alpha course?
More than 6 million people have completed the Alpha course. Today the course is being run worldwide; meeting in churches, homes, schools, universities, military posts, and prisons, and is supported by churches of every different denomination.
Is it for you?
Everyone is welcome at an Alpha course! Some people want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church, but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. People come from many different backgrounds and hold many different viewpoints, but most come with the same basic objective: to establish whether God and Jesus Christ have any real relevance for their lives.

Come for 1 session or all 10. You make the decision. We are now taking registrations for Alpha sessions meeting in the gym at Christian Life Center on Wednesdays at 6:00pm. Dinner is included. (See schedule below)
What if I don’t like the course? Do I have to commit to attending for all 10 weeks?
No! But we do recommend that you attend at least three weeks in order to get a taste of the Alpha Course.
What will it cost?
The Alpha course is free. Guests may be asked to make a voluntary contribution toward the food.
